I knew there would be great photographers shooting the show from the front of the stage and since I have a thing for photographing people with their backs turned to me I was just more than happy to get to shoot the show from the side of the stage. I did take a few minutes in front but felt like I was in the way of the other guys so I quickly went back to my spot on the side.

Kadavermarch
At 3 in the morning last saturday Specktors entered Cosmopol stage on Roskilde Festival to perform their biggest show so far. The guys were pretty nervous before entering but as soon as they hit the stage it all seemed to disappear and turn into pure fucking energy.

Specktors
It's no secret that I love going to the Roskilde Festival and when Specktors asked gave me a ticket to go and shoot them on this years festival I was beyond stoked. I have had the pleasure of seeing my homies here play in front of a screaming crowd before so I knew it would be a treat to shoot them at Roskilde.
I wanted to shoot them doing the festival off stage as well as on stage.

This first post will be from just before going on stage. There were absolutely no light in the backstage area at all so I didn't get as many shots as I had hoped for. I can usually do with just a tiny bit of light so I hadn't brought my flash gun. Big mistake. I hate using flash in situations like this because it feels so invasive but I could certainly have used it here.
The show was at 3 in the morning on saturday so I came to the backstage area a few hours before to try to catch some of the pre show tension.

there will be plenty of posts from this years Roskilde festival but the next few posts will be devoted to Specktors.

Copenhell
HA! I'm back faster than even I thought I would.
Here is some pictures from this weekends metal festival here in Copenhagen called... you guessed it, Copenhell. I snug my camera in with my friends in The Kandidate who was playing. Due to a bit of rain now and then it stayed in the bag the most of the time. Here is a few shots of The Kandidate and Immortal.
It was two great days of metal and seeing friends.

Berlin
I have gotten myself a new tool to prevent these long breaks from blogging. I can now blog from my living room from my new Macbook pro. Awesome new toy!!
We went to Berlin fro an extended weekend. I mostly shot film on that trip but since I'm playing with the new Aperture that allows me to upload directly to my flickr you will have to settle for a few digital pictures.

I hope to have more up here soon... maaaaaybe a few from this weekends Copenhell. I still have my fingers crossed for a photo pass for this years Roskilde Festival. Got some great ideas...

Under The Sign Of Hell
I went to see Gorgoroth play a few nights ago. I had to bring the camera just in case.

I shared the spot of shooting with the in-house photographer who had flashes set up to shoot wireless where ever he went. It was fun to see how he relied on his flashes to light up the guys on stage where I pretty much do the opposite. I rather have a moody dark sihluette of the people. But then again I'm not there to catch the band for who they are but just the mood I feel. I guess that is the different between the hired guns who need to capture the artist and me who just shoot for me.
