Memories from Norway

As promised, here's the next post of Boudoir shots. It's another older shoot since first of all, you guys havnt seen them before and secondly, I havn't had time in a while to shoot anything of this style. If anyone want to shoot let me know.

I have had a lot of fun playing with textures, lightleaks and stuff like this. I used to be all about leaving my images pretty much as they come out of the camera but I have realised that it's ok to add a bit of spice now and then. I'm still not into editing in the sense of changing what you see but if playing a bit with colours or adding some dust makes it more interesting or fun to look at... why not? This isn't documentary art or journalism after all.
I will try to mix it up now and then and maybe post some comparison posts, with or without these effects.

This series is from a tiny hotel room in Bergen 3-4 years ago. Kinga and I shot two different sets that day. This shoot was supposed to be black and white but after playing a bit with them I really liked how they turned out. Hope you enjoy. I will post the black and white part soon.

Ghosts Invited

I have been revisiting a lot of old shoots lately. It is great to revive some old ghosts. When I took these photos of Kristian Espedahl, Aka Gaahl, I didn't really knew what to do with them. They came out as they were supposed to and how I intended them but back then I felt any editing to them was cheeting. So I never used them for anything. Now many years later I took them back and all it took was a bit of finetuning and now I love them. Not much have been done other than a bit of contrast and different tone but it changed it into the mood that I never got from the originals. These were shot on my Mamiya medium format film camera. This was a speciel day for me and what I consider the beginning of a great friendship with this amazing person!

Finally getting into it!

It has been a while... not only since my last post but since I have posted anything not concert related. It has also been a while since I have been sharing model shoots.
For a long time now, I have been trying to figure out if my work was good enough or interesting enough to post any where... and even if it was... where to post it. What to do with it. This is still something I am trying to figure out. But as many things in life, why not just do it? So I finally did. I made a new Instagram profile for my so called "boudoir" photography. I am also still trying to find a way to describe this kind of work. Everything sounds wrong or cheesy... so I have settled for boudoir for now. And now it is time to share some of the work here too.

By pushing myself to post more work, I am hoping it will open up to new possibilities for new shoots and in genereal to push me to shoot more. If anyone is interested in shooting, don't be afraid to shoot me a mail with your idea and thoughts and if you lack ideas... don't worry! I have a long list of different types of shoots that I wanna do.

For now here is some shots from way back. They were never really ment to be used for anything other than practicing light and trying out a lens, but I decided to revisit them the other day and I like what came out of it.
I will be posting more older shots soon. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, please go follow my new photo profile on Instagram HERE.
