Beyond The Gates Part 1

I was invited to come back to Bergen to attend the Beyond The Gates festival and to bring my camera. Since I was done with my upcoming black metal book and since I wasn't hired by anyone, it was a bit hard for me to figure out how to get into this. Why was I there? Who should I shoot and what? And most importantly, how, should I shoot it? I decided that since I didn't have anyone to report to, just to shoot what I felt fitting to the music playing. I didn't have to make glossy, sharp flash-litt portrait photos to be printed in a magazine. So I decided to go for the more grainy, blurry dark and more spontaneous photos.

Last year my friend, Christian, asked me to shoot some photos for the cover for his record with his project, Bellhound Choir. Christian had found Mette to model for the project and she worked out amazing. The record is out and stoked and honoured that Christian trusted me with doing all photos for his record.
